From EPUB to M4B in five steps

Chapters that match the book
Your EPUB already knows its chapters, so the M4B does too. Title, author and cover come from the file. In the Editor you see every chapter and leave out the ones you don’t want in the audio, like the copyright page or the index.

Every English book is free to listen to with Standard voices, on every plan. Play a chapter or the whole thing, try a few narrators and choose your chapters, then make the file.

Will the M4B work in Apple Books?
Yes. Choose one of the M4B sizes, add the file to Books on your Mac or iPhone, and it shows up as an audiobook with its chapters and cover.
Can I make an M4B of a book in another language?
Yes. Books in other languages are narrated with Premium voices, which use your plan’s Premium hours. English books can also be narrated free with Standard voices.
How long does the file take?
It depends on the length of the book. You can listen while it builds, or close the page: we email you when it’s ready.
Which EPUBs work?
Any DRM-free EPUB or KEPUB up to 10 MB. Store purchases locked with DRM can’t be opened.
Is it free?
Yes, in English. Standard voices are unlimited on every plan, Free included. Free also gives you 10 minutes of Premium voices, one book of your own and one audiobook download. Listener includes 3 downloads, Premium 15 and Ultra unlimited, along with more books and Premium hours.
