Clean audio from a print format
PDFs are laid out for paper, so Book2Speech rebuilds the reading order before anyone speaks. Broken lines and hyphens are joined, paragraphs that cross a page or column break are read as one, and chapters come from the PDF’s outline or its larger headings.

Questions people ask
Will the MP3 include page numbers or headers?
No. Repeated running headers, footers and page numbers are detected and left out before narration.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes, when the scan has a text layer. An image-only scan has no text to read, so run it through OCR first (many scanner apps and Adobe Acrobat do this).
Can I make an MP3 of a book in another language?
Yes. Books in other languages are narrated with Premium voices, which use your plan’s Premium hours. English books can also be narrated free with Standard voices.
How long does the file take?
It depends on the length of the document. Close the page if you like: we email you when the MP3 is ready.
Is it free?
