How Low German is written
Low German is spoken in northern Germany and the eastern Netherlands. Books in Low German use the Latin alphabet.
Low German (Plattdeutsch) has no single standard spelling: writers in Germany follow German-based conventions and Low Saxon writers in the Netherlands Dutch-based ones, so a text can be taken for German or Dutch.
What to upload
•
EPUB, DOCX, TXT, HTML, RTF, MOBI, AZW3 or FB2 with real Low German text, up to 10 MB and DRM-free.
•
PDFs need a text layer: a scan of printed pages without one has no text to read. Try selecting a line of Low German in the PDF: if you can copy it, there is text to read.
•
Keep the text as Unicode, as modern ebooks and word processors save it.
•
No file? Paste a link to a web article and it becomes a book too.
