How Pulaar is written

Pulaar is spoken in Senegal, the Gambia and Mauritania.
Pulaar is the Fula of the Senegal River valley, written in Latin letters with hooked consonants (ɓ, ɗ, ƴ) and ŋ. Adlam, an alphabet created for Fula in the late 1980s, is spreading too.

What to upload

•
EPUB, DOCX, TXT, HTML, RTF, MOBI, AZW3 or FB2 with real Pulaar text, up to 10 MB and DRM-free.
•
PDFs need a text layer: a scan of printed pages without one has no text to read. Try selecting a line of Pulaar in the PDF: if you can copy it, there is text to read.
•
Keep the text as Unicode, as modern ebooks and word processors save it.
•
No file? Paste a link to a web article and it becomes a book too.

4.
Press play. Chapters, read-along text, speed, a sleep timer and your place synced between devices work as in every other language.
